End Of Smiles
|
When I smiled at the moon The moon smiled back At me A plastic beguiling smile That charred my inward peace
When I smiled at the sun The sun replied To me A harsh metallic leer Freezing back my snail's horn's of injured hopes
Then I smiled at myself In the mirror And myself and myself died A broken whimper Oozing out everlasting impotence
