Adventure at OKO

Our Christmas 2006, Newsletter

We have received a lot of feedback on this amazing true story. Some of those feedback are recorded in our comments page 4.

OKO is a very small village near a much larger one called EJIGBO on the road to Ibadan from Ilorin. Akin, in his school days, had schooled at Ejigbo Baptist College. Naturally, Oko is a village well known and often visited by him with other students in those days. Little did he know that the village will be the focus of a major car breakdown and an interesting adventure on Saturday 20, May 2006.

The cause of the breakdown was a burnt gasket which we thought could not be fixed in the village. Amazingly, the car was fixed by the village mechanics using spanners, screw drivers and a crowbar. It is said that such a feat could only be in Nigeria.

The top story in our current website newsletter is that we are experimenting with a move to a new site at SITESLED - the site is at - http://oloruntobas.sitesled.com. It is a free site with no banner adverts. But we have learnt from experience that when you move and your visitors can't find you for sometime, they are as good as gone. Therefore, we will retain the old site at https://oloruntoba0.tripod.com/index.html for sometime and let our visitors compare the two. In short, the site at http://oloruntobas.sitesled.com may become our main site if our visitors think it is better. Our visitors will find that our pages there download faster because there are no adverts to download. Help us to make up our mind by comparing the two sites and tell us what you think.

Black Angel

Wearing Ankara

Bunmi in this issue, wrote about his new machine - Apple. He said, "Apples are fabulous.  Switching from a PC to an Apple is like switching from a stick to an automatic gear drive. Since Apple doesn't come with PCs right click abilities, it's like it doesn't come with a clutch and it takes a while to get used to it....
Onyinye Nwaozor, said that Black, to some people, is one colour to avoid, but to fashion buffs this is no doubt, an exclusive colour which stands out. Black is versatile and would blend with almost anything. One way or the other, everyone needs black outfits owing to its uniqueness. Black is Angelic...
Are you one of those who think that Ankara is for old ladies? You are wrong. Ankara is for everybody: The old, young, rich or poor. The beauty of Ankara lies in the fact that it is simple and flexible. Some are combined with satin, net, ribbon, roses and appliqués. Ankara could be "dressed up" or "dressed down"...
