BUNMI @ REGENT

Mummy and Daddy
Hi. I'm sending you this e-mail from the 4th floor of Robertson hall on the Regent University Campus. I have an appointment with Elinor at 1.00 pm and just have to rush this mail off to you to let you know I am fine. We got to Virginia Beach on Friday after an hour stop over at JFK. Bros Leke's friend: Jeremiah (who I'm now staying with), came to pick us up from the airport. We've had a great time, which cumulated into Leke's Graduation on Saturday. But first there was a dinner at Founder's Inn for the Business school graduates that Friday evening, and Bros Victor and Aunty Geena (his wife) joined us there with there children, Natasha and Alex.

The Diner was a real trendy affair, with everyone in suits. Bros Leke was mentioned to be one of the only students who dared to offer one of the dept's most dreaded courses and passed it. We were all so proud of him. Bros Leke later took the podium to give the testimony of the time he spent in Regent, and how God has brought him from someone who had no idea what www stood for, to someone who now has an MBA. We took a lot of pictures, you should see me in my suit!

On Saturday, the graduation ceremony started at 9.45 on the dot. Pat Robertson was at hand to hand out the certificates to each of the grandaunts. Aunty Geena was able to get Bros Leke's turn on camera. We are making plans to make copies, which are going to be sent to you. After the Graduation, Bros Leke and I took a familiarization tour of the Campus.

Regent is an uncomplicated array of brick mansions within a parkland. Pat Robertson's mansion is also located within. From where I'm logging this mail, I have a pretty good view of his backyard forest and horses. Everything here is simply beautiful. Elevators, computer labs, Dispenser machines ....you name it, we have it. I will be sending you more details of the campus and the town later.

This morning I opened an account at the Bank and deposited all the money Akinyemisi sent to me. I also received an ATM card (my first Card in the USA!!!) which I can use to draw money from any ATM Machine. I will be ready to apply for a Debit card next month and a credit card as time goes on. It's important for me to start building a credit history as from now. LekeNike warned me of the horrors they've been through. Not because they didn't have money, but because they have been debt-free good citizens. Don't worry, I won't be getting a credit card for a while still, but by the time I do I will know enough about the system to operate the necessary debt portfolio that entitles one to any form of financing assistance. There's other big news, but I've got to run now.
Love you. Bunmi.
