Letters From USA 9

Hi Mum and Dad,

It was so nice to see your Christmas pictures, though I only saw Mummy not Daddy at the table. But come to think of it, there is a pretty good picture of Daddy inside his study on the family web site. Seems you guys had a great Christmas.

I studied everything in the pictures; the bottles from cooler, the table mats, that old lamp shade, even the bottle covers, they all bear new relevance now - nostalgic if you will, but so much symbolic depth have been added to so many things I couldn't even recall. By the way, who set that table? I don't set the table like that. Mummy has the wrong mug - that's not the mug she likes. I should have left table setting instructions indicating Mummy and Daddy's official mugs, glasses etc . Ha, ha, ha :-)

Ehi looks scary. He is totally and undiluted Yetunde's male clone. Seeing a growing male version of her fills me with awe and dread at the same time. And how all the girls have grown too - Wow!

This semester has been kind of slow, but I'm sure after the mid terms the pace will quicken. The scholarship money and reduced fees made a laptop possible from the tuition money Akinyemisi sent. However, I had to return the one I got because it couldn't run the Avid express program I'm using for class. I have a Toshiba Satellite( 2.0ghz, 512mmb, 40Gb with a NV-Geo force 4 video card) all lined up. Bros Akin promised to add an extra 250 to my funds so I can get it. Anyway, the request still has to pass through the house of congress in Kenya for approval. (Please remember to thank Akinyemisi for me - they put many Catholic saints to shame).

How are you guys doing? I miss you very much. I know the frequency of my e-mails don't attest to this but I do miss you. I would like to share all my fears with you but it will only be cause for needless worry. God is good and he will make everything work out for good. There is nothing to worry about, everything will work out even better than planned. When this phrase of life is over I'll have amazing tales to tell you all.
love, Bunmi
