Dear Family Members, Friends and Visitors,

HELLO and welcome to our Newsletter for the update in the second quarter of 2005. We now have a standard website as one visitor described our new site. This update adds some new features while some of the old stuff has been moved into the archive.

We are doing very well with our new host www.TRKHosting.com,so much so that we've included them in the list of our favourite links. TRKHosting provides superb support for their clients. Above all, they answer our queries quickly and efficiently. If you are looking for a helpful website host, try them. They do both domain name registration and hosting for very reasonable fees.

My experience in the last four years, as the family webmaster, convinced me that free hosting are not of much help to a beginner. Besides, they are not really free as they use your site to advertise products which may be distasteful to you and your visitors.

Our Favourite Links now includes TKRHostiing, FreeByte and the Langalist Standard newsletter. The Langalist is a newsletter with a difference. It educates and helps you solve many of the problems you may encounter in using the PC. The standard edition is free and you can subscribe by going to its URL in the Favourite Links section of our site.

The other links remain - Blake Radio Station, NigeriaWeb, Poetry of Charles Cingolani, and ZDNet. These sites have been improved in content and usability by their authors. See all the details in our Favourite Links section.

InOur Interests section you'll find Grandpa's article titled "Spam, Spam Go Away" under the sub-section of Computing for Fun. It is a “good read" for anyone who is concerned about Spam. He says, “Whatever you do, remember that until better email spam detecting software are developed, and until all PC users unite against spam, we can only reduce this nuisance to a tolerable level in our emails at present. Like the rain in the nursery rhyme "Rain, Rain, Go Away..." it is wishful thinking that spam will go away easily without us fighting it!

In the Christian Forum, we have a very interesting article for you on "How God Answers Prayers".

Our Photo Gallery continues to grow. We have five collections of twenty nine pictures grouped as follows:

(a) Collection 1 (War and Peace)

(b) Collection 2 (Personalities)

(c) Collection 3 (Disasters and Relief

(d) Collection 4 (A peep into the family albums)

(e) Our Grand Children Photos – Some of the photos in this collection are a bit out of date, but we have asked the parents to send us recent photographs to be included there. Digital photos sent by email are preferred.

For our Under 18s Forum we have now appointed Moyin Oloruntoba (15) as the Editor. She is the most creative writer of all our Under 18s. Her job is to solicit for new writings and creative arts from members of the group, including their friends. Moyin lives with her parents in Maseru, Lesotho, Southern Africa.

We've improved our Contact page further by creating new columns there to contain Comments from our Visitors and Feedback from us. Most visitors to websites do not leave contact addresses when they sign the Guestbook. This is obviously a precaution against spam. Nevertheless, when they don’t, webmasters are often in a dilemma to provide feedback to comments and enquiries. This new innovation solves the problem by providing a place for visitors to return to and view any feedback provided by us.

And finally, we should not forget to mention the 12th edition of Bunmi's  "Letters from USA". He is very brief this time, suggesting that he is very busy with his studies!

    Goodbye. See you again soon.
