Where am I?
By Segun Adesina
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Suddenly I woke up
Sand is blowing in my face, swirling around me
like a tornado is passing by
The sun’s rays are burning down on me
I see pack rats in the distance
I see an oasis with date trees bowing to the wind
And a coyote is drinking from it.
Where am I anyway?
Where else could be so hot and sandy?
The desert of course!!!
