and Africa agriculture - with proffered solutions to some of our problems. Africa is inundated with several problems among which are, Poverty, Hunger and Malnutrition, Ethnic Wars, and HIV/AIDS. Nonetheless, many Africans have not lost hope about the ability of the continent to survive and progress. Views on these problems and possible solutions are offered in this section. The views here are largely personal opinions and do not reflect the views of particular political groups or organizations.

We present for records, the
speech of President Obasanjo of Nigeria to a meeting of Eminent Persons
Group at the
Rockefeller Headquarters in New York on the proposed Africa Fertiliser
Summit coming up in Abuja in June 2006. That summit could open the gate to the
often talked about African Green Revolution.
