Letters From USA 8

Hi again, Mum and Dad,

Everything is cool. School work somehow seems to have gotten more interesting. I now look forward to my papers. I like the papers. Like the papers I have due in two weeks time and I've already gathered up a storm of sources for them.

I guess the work is getting personal. It's always a great thing when occupation and evocation become one as our two eyes become one in sight (I didn't say that, some cartoon animator did). I'm waiting for the film shoot to start so I can send you my press clippings. We got 37 shoots and they are all marvellous (Dad).

We visited the Library of Congress on Wednesday. I wore an helmet and flak jacket 'cause of the sniper on the loose. (Bro Leke has vowed to catch the guy and claim the reward for all the Ijebu people).

The LOC was cool. We went digging up old silent movies from the 1800's. They gave us reader cards, so we can actually go there on our own and access the archives. And what did we get out of this trip? Well, I can proudly say I have seen the original 16mm copy of"The Birth of a Race" : the first African American produced feature film in 18 hundred and something. The film sucks! - it's awful!

Write y'all soon...
